 Benchmark
was started in 1983, and is headquartered in the Inner Harbor
in downtown Baltimore. Benchmark partners with industry experts
who we believe have the skills to successfully start or grow
a business in their respective industry. Benchmark provides
business and financial management, as well as capital, to
its partners. We work hand-in-hand with our partners, and
bring to such relationships our considerable operating experience.
Benchmark's roots are in starting and operating businesses.
In the 1980's, Benchmark formed partnerships to acquire and
develop cable television systems, growing from a raw start
up to becoming one of the 100 largest cable television owners
in the United States, with holdings in Northern Virginia,
Florida, and California. After selling its cable television
interests, Benchmark started a new venture to acquire broadcasting
companies in the l990's. This venture also started as a raw
start up, and grew to over 50 radio stations throughout the
Southeastern United States, before being sold in late 1997.
 Since
the sale of its broadcasting companies, Benchmark has been
instrumental in the creation, financing, growth and operation
of new ventures with its operating partners. Benchmark is
a founder and partner of e.magination
network llc, a leading regional internet services company,
and Pinnacle
Care International, Inc., a company providing access for
its members to the finest healthcare in the world. Benchmark
continues to examine opportunities to profitably team with
experienced industry partners.
